Kentucky’s Credit Unions Launch New Relationship Rewards Program

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY – Kentucky’s Credit Unions is pleased to announce the launch of its new, innovative rebate program, Relationship Rewards, aimed at rewarding credit unions for doing business with participating league service partners.

The new rewards program offers an opportunity for credit unions in Kentucky to earn a cashback rebate on their service partner contracts. This initiative reflects Kentucky’s Credit Unions’ commitment to providing added value and appreciation to its credit unions.

Jenna Dye, Vice President of Revenue at Thoroughbred Business Services, the service corporation of Kentucky’s Credit Unions, expressed enthusiasm about the launch of Relationship Rewards, stating, "We're really excited to introduce Relationship Rewards to our member credit unions. This new program shows how dedicated we are to making sure our members get the best benefits possible. We're committed to giving our credit union partners unmatched value."

Participation in Relationship Rewards is limited to service partners that share a portion of their revenue with Kentucky’s Credit Unions. Rebates will vary from partner to partner depending on their level of support through the tiered Relationship Rewards program and any special terms or conditions that may apply to the service partner specifically. Rebates will accrue over the course of a year and be paid out the following year in the form of a single check.

Kentucky Credit Union League Announces Rebranding, Changes Name to Kentucky’s Credit Unions

For Immediate Release on February 21, 2024:

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY – As part of an extensive rebranding initiative, the Kentucky Credit Union League has announced a fresh identity, complete with a new name and logo.

On January 26, 2024, the League Board of Directors officially approved the rebrand to "Kentucky’s Credit Unions," in line with their mission to promote unity and provide outstanding service to credit unions throughout the state. This rebrand follows the merger of the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and the National Association of Federal-Insured Credit Unions into America’s Credit Unions.

“I am excited to be a part of this movement as we reveal our new name of Kentucky’s Credit Unions,” said Heather Walter, CEO of Advanz Credit Union and Chair of League Board Directors.  “This rebranding more accurately reflects the collaboration and spirit that is encompassed in all credit unions across the Commonwealth.  It also reinforces the continued commitment to helping credit unions in our state prosper.  Together, we proudly serve over 1 million members.”

Kentucky’s Credit Unions’ rebranding initiative will be rolled out gradually across various channels, including its website, social media platforms, and marketing materials.

This strategic decision reflects the company’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and continued growth as they strive to deliver premium services to credit unions that are both cost-effective and performance-enhancing.

The rebranding initiative will be rolled out gradually across various channels, including a new logo, visual identity, and updated website to better reflect Thoroughbred Business Services' core values and mission.

Kentucky Credit Union League Announces New Vice President of Support

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY - The League is proud to announce the promotion of Andrew Barr to the position of Vice President of Support. Barr, who started his journey at the Kentucky Credit Union League on November 30, 2020, initially served as the Credit Union Support and Engagement Officer, offering invaluable assistance to credit unions.

In his prior role, Andrew Barr was instrumental in providing comprehensive support to member credit unions, covering organizational, operational, informational, and promotional aspects crucial to their growth and success.

With this well-deserved promotion, Barr assumes a pivotal role where he will not only continue his unwavering support for member credit unions but will also collaborate closely with the incoming Vice President of Revenue. Together, their focus will be on enhancing and broadening the quality of support extended to our credit unions. This strategic partnership aims to elevate standards, expand services, and generate essential revenue for both the League and its service corporation. Andrew Barr’s expertise and dedication are poised to bring substantial value to the League's mission and its members.

Kentucky Credit Union League Selects Jim Kasch as President/CEO

The Board of Directors of the Kentucky CreditUnion League is pleased to announce the selection of Jim Kasch as the credit union’s next President/Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Kasch will succeed Ms. Debbie Painter, who is retiring after serving Kentucky’s Credit Unions for decades, including in the role of President/CEO for almost 5 years. “Kentucky’s credit unions are well-positioned for a bright future with Jim building on the legacy of great leaders before him here in Kentucky,” said Larry Lucas, President/CEO of Ashland Credit Union and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Credit Union League. “The Kentucky Credit Union League has always been known for exceptional advocacy. As that tradition continues, the League Board was also seeking a President/CEO who will ensure an independent, sustainable future for our state trade association. Kasch has over 20 years of credit union experience. He is the Founder and CEO of Canidae Consulting, LLC & Member Intelligence Group where he currently provides consulting services to credit union clients nationwide with assets ranging from $9M to $2B in assets. In previous roles, he served as CEO of Darden Employees Federal Credit Union and Vice President: Business Development & Strategic Alliances at Partners Federal Credit Union in Orlando, Florida. Kasch holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix and a Masters’s degree (MBA) from Stetson University. Kasch has been a member of the Credit Union Executive Society for the last 21 years.
